Toriamos.com will give away some Front Row Upgrades for the Summer of Sin Tour!
Toriamos.com will be giving some Tori fans a chance to see Tori from the front row during her upcoming Summer Of Sin tour in North America. In order to be eligible to win front row ticket upgrades, you must be registered for the official Tori mailing list at Toriamos.com. These front row tickets will be upgrades, meaning that you must have already purchased your tickets at least one week prior to the show in order to be eligible. It also appears that only people in certain zip codes will have a chance for each show, because a explanation of the process that was sent to the mailing list states that the contest email notifications for each city will be sent according to zip codes. Therefore, make sure the zip code you entered when you signed up for the mailing list is correct. (Sign up again if you need to to make sure your zip code is correct.) Be on the look out for an email giving you specific directions to follow to enter for a chance to upgrade your tickets to front row seats. There are limited number of these upgrades, so enter as soon as you get the email from the mailing list.

Imogen Heap will definitely NOT be part of the Summer Of Sin Tour
We earlier reported that Tori's support acts for the Summer Of Sin tour would be The Ditty Bops and Imogen Heap. We now know for sure that Imogen Heap will not be part of the tour. Imogen posted this fact in her iblog on July 20, 2005. (Thanks to Clint for letting me know.) Imogen writes:Ok...you know that Tori tour...well...erm...it's not happening. I'm really sorry for anyone who's already bought tickets in the hope of catching me play. Some of you know I STILL haven't signed a licensing deal for the states yet (my goodness these things take time!) and it's now only 3 weeks until it would have kicked off. Also due to the exchange rate it's almost twice as expensive for a US label to fly me out as ususal and at the start of the album US campaign that is a lot of money gone... I am going to tour the States. YOU BET! I will make up for it. A little later in the year i'll be over there in some form or another and it'll make much more sense timing wise too. I hope you understand. I feel bad that i may have pissed off Tori too. I'm sure she'll understand. She's a Pro! Therefore it appears that The Ditty Bops will be the only support act for Tori this summer, unless another one is quickly added in the next couple weeks. Tickets for the September 16, 2005 show in Phoenix, AZ go onsale this week; There will be presales!

This one is from Downtown.net, and you have to be a member of that site in order to get the presale password. Finally, sales to the general public begin on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 10:00AM at Ticketmaster.com. New Summer Of Sin tour date announced for West Valley City/Salt Lake City, UT on September 6, 2005!
Toriamos.com is now reporting in the Tour section a new tour date for the Summer Of Sin tour! Tori will perform at the USANA Ampitheatre in West Valley City (near Salt Lake City), UT on Tuesday, September 6, 2005. Toriamos.com reports that tickets will go onsale for this show to the general public on Saturday, July 30, 2005. No word yet on presales, but I would think they are likely. New iTunes Essentials compilation available at the iTunes Music Store!
Charity was the first to tell me about a new 45-song compilation that you can now buy at the iTunes Music Store, at least in the U.S. This compilation is called iTunes Essentials and simply combines 45 Tori tracks together. (None of the tracks are new by the way!) The cost is $44.55, which is the same cost that it would be if you downloaded each song individually, but you do get the convenience of getting all the songs at once. It would make a great introduction to give to a new Tori fan! You can see the cover to the right.[Click for details...]
