A new Tori Amos DVD/CD project called Welcome To Sunny Florida was released by Epic Records on May 18, 2004 in North America (U.S. and Canada). The release date in the U.K., Germany, and many other European countries was May 24, 2004. (The release was delayed one week in Europe to prevent availability issues.) France however did not see the official release unitl June 1, 2004. The Australian release date was June 21, 2004. You can see a photo of the cover to the right. Click on it to see it larger. You can now order Tori's upcoming DVD/CD called Welcome To Sunny Florida at Amazon.com in the U.S. If you order this release from Amazon using any Amazon link on The Dent, you will also be helping to support this web site. Thank you! Amazon.com actually has two listings for Welcome To Sunny Florida. The only difference between them is in how the DVD is packaged. The DVD is offered in DVD packaging (amaray box) or CD packaging (jewel case). (Click here to read more about the different ways DVDs are packaged.) The cover for the DVD packaging is more rectangular, but still otherwise the same except that the DVD logo is located in a different corner. The DVD includes live footage (18 songs) from the final show of Tori's Lottapianos tour, which took place on September 4, 2003 at the Sound Advice Theatre in West Palm Beach, FL. (You can read reviews for that show and see the complete set list here.) Not all the songs performed that night made it to the DVD. The following songs performed that evening in West Palm Beach did not make the cut for reasons we do not know:

The companion 6-track CD is called Scarlet's Hidden Treasures and includes some of the Scarlet's Walk b-sides as well as some previously unreleased songs.

Loren Haynes conceived, produced and directed the DVD. He also shot all the hand held camera work behind and on stage and conducted the interviews. As you may remember, Loren Haynes shot the photos for Tori's To Venus and Back album and also shot, produced and directed the Bliss video.
The Scarlet's Hidden Treasures CD is Text Enabled. If your CD player is Text capable, it will display the CD title as well as the track titles when you play this bonus CD. (Thanks Darrin.)
