Tori Amos is at the height of her career, and "Welcome to Sunny Florida," a twin DVD-CD affair, documents the dizzying heights her prodigious talent has allowed her to scale. It's a startlingly beautiful package, comprised of a sterling 5.1 Surround Sound concert/documentary filmed during the final date of Amos' "Scarlet's Walk" tour, and a CD boasting six new tunes. Together, they clearly signify an artistic peak for the virtuosic pianist and eloquent songwriter.

The band isn't bad, either. Bassist Jon Evans and drummer Matt Chamberlain provide the heady syncopations and sublimely supportive accompaniment throughout and are clearly as responsible for the album's deep resonance as is Amos herself.

If you have a Surround Sound system, you'll be in heaven, as the mix offered by Amos' engineer-husband Mark Hawley and collaborator Marcel van Limbeek places you dead center, as if Amos and Co. are playing a private concert for you in your living room.

The new songs are wonderful, split evenly between intimate affairs involving only Amos' voice, grand piano and the acoustic guitar support of Mac Aladdin ("Ruby Through the Looking Glass," "Seaside," "Indian Summer") and tracks cut with her touring trio ("Bug a Martini," "Tombigbee").
