Collect Tori's Card Catalog!
Posted Sat, Oct 25, 2003 - 1:15am ET | Music
This was just sent out tonight to the members of Tori's Online Team. They are begining an online promotion they call Tori's Card Catalog. According to Fanscape, 'As we get closer and closer to the unveiling of Tori's "musical biography," we will be hiding exclusive content and surprises across the web. Pull out your "Dewey Decimal System" cheat sheets and start looking for clues to help you find all the cards in Tori's Card Catalog...' They then give you the web location for the first card in the collection. This card includes a link to 'Mary' in streaming audio. More cards to the catalog will be revealed, but you have to sign up for the Tales Of A Librarian mailing list and state when signing up that you want to be a member of Tori's Online Team. The Dent may not post the links to the other cards, so make sure you sign up to the mailing list and Online Team so you will get yours! (Thanks to Kristy.)

Tales Of A Librarian: The definite track listing!
Posted Sat, Oct 25, 2003 - 1:00am ET | Music
There has been some confusion about the track listing to the Music CD part of Tori's upcoming Tales Of A Librarian due to the fact that different vendor web sites have been posting different things. The earliest track listing report posted to the Dent came from a source at Warner Music Australia by way of Trent Titmarsh, and was also posted at Undercover.com.au. That track listing is still the definitive one for the music CD part of the new collection. This same track listing has now been posted to the TOAL listings at Amazon.com (Thanks Stefan), Amazon.co.uk (Thanks Samantha), eil.com (Thanks Marc Silva) and at hmv.co.uk (Thanks Peter Starski). You will see a different track listing posted to some of the other vendor web sites, but those are most often a combination of some of the songs from the Music CD along with some of the tracks on the Bonus DVD. Click the details link for a closer look at the CD and DVD track listing and for the reason why some of the track listings posted at some web sites are misleading.  [Click for details...]

Posted Wed, Oct 22, 2003 - 10:13pm ET | Music
An anonymous source has sent me a scan of the cover of the Mary promotional single being distributed by Atlantic Records. I am not sure where this promotional single is being distributed. You can still listen of "Mary," the first single from "Tales of a Librarian", at AOLMusic.com!
Posted Wed, Oct 22, 2003 - 8:25pm ET | Music
Update: The first single from Tori's upcoming best of album Tales Of A Librarian is Mary, which is one of two b-sides that Tori re-recorded with her band for this album. (The other is Sweet Dreams.) You can still listen to Mary in streaming audio at AOLMusic.com in their Lite Sounds section. (The track was only available to AOL members on October 18 & 19, 2003 (AOL keyword: First Listen), and then became available to all on Monday, October 20, 2003.)

Toriamos.com will be relauched on November 18, 2003
Posted Wed, Oct 22, 2003 - 12:24pm ET | Music
Toriamos.com has been updated. Right now, it simply shows the cover to Tales Of A Librarian, and gives a little info about the new album along with a message that says, "Thanks for visiting. Tori's new site will be launched on November 18 to coincide with her new Album." The site also talks about the single Mary and the AOL First Listen promotion. The new site will no doubt be themed to the new album.

Tales Of A Librarian: The cover
Posted Wed, Oct 22, 2003 - 12:50am ET | Music
I think I know why there are two different versions out there for the cover to Tales Of A Librarian. Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk are now both showing the cover you see below to the left as the cover that will be used for the version of the album that includes the Bonus DVD. The cover to the right is shown by Amazon.co.uk for a version of the new album that will NOT contain the DVD. I guess the different covers will help you differentiate the DVD version of the album from the non-DVD version. We have only seen the non-DVD version listed at Amazon.co.uk. Amazon.com in the U.S. only lists the DVD version.
