On Sunday, November 16, 2003, a special 1-hour TV show called "Tori Amos: Tales Of A Librarian" was broadcast around 9:00PM ET on CN8, The Comcast Network, which is shown on Comcast cable systems in the New England and Mid-Atlantic area of the U.S. The show featured video footage of songs from Tales Of A Librarian as well as commentary about TOAL from Tori between the videos. To find out more about CN8 and find out if you have it in your area, go to cn8.tv. CN8 will rebroadcast this show on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 10:30PM ET. (Double check your local listings to be sure about the time.) This program appears to be the same thing as a show called Remixed, Remastered, Revealed that will be shown by the Trio TV network for the first time on Tuesday, November 18, 2003. I think the show begins at 6:00AM ET, but I am not sure if that varies depending on the station showing it. Thanks to Chad Kelly for alerting me to this. There will be a record release party for Tales Of A Librarian in Nashville, TN at the club eXceSs on 909 Church Street from 2:00AM-6:00AM. They will have Tori Amos CD and poster giveaways. You can see this listed online at djron.com.
U.K. release date confusion: Amazon.co.uk says that the version of Tales Of A Librarian with the Bonus DVD will be delayed until November 24, 2003

As you know, Tales Of A Librarian is being released in the U.K. in two versions. One contains the bonus DVD and one does not. If you check out the listing for the version WITH the DVD at Amazon.co.uk, it says it has been delayed and will now be released in the U.K. on Monday, November 24, 2003. The version with ONLY the CD however still has a release date of Monday, November 17, 2003.
However, Eil.com has complicated the situation by claiming the opposite. They say the version with the DVD will be released in the U.K. on November 17, 2003 and the version without the DVD will be delayed until November 24, 2003. So we are not sure. We will have to wait and see.
5 Chances to see Tori Amos on TRIO on Tuesday, November 18, 2003

The Trio network in the U.S. will be featuring Tori during much of the day on Tuesday, November 18, 2003, which happens to be the U.S. release date for Tales Of A Librarian! People are even seeing store counter displays that show the cover to TOAL along with a line that says, "Tori, All Day Long On TRIO." You can see a scan of this display here. Tori's "a sorta fairytale" is part of a compilation album called KBCO Studio C Volume 15 which will be released on December 6, 2003 by radio station KBCO 97.3 in Boulder, CO. that the October 2003 issue of the European edition of Audio Media magazine included an interview with Tori and Mark Hawley where they talk about the remixing and re-recording of the tracks on Tales Of A Librarian. The listing for Tales Of A Librarian at Amazon.de has been very informative lately. They have just added the artwork to the back of the album along with the artwork to the front. It is not very large, but gives you an idea of what we will see! (Thanks Timmie.) You can also still access 30-second sound clips from nearly all the songs on Tales Of A Librarian at amazon.de. (For some off reason, they do not list Way Down.) The biggest surpise is the realization that Tales Of A Librarian will have the remixed version of Professional Widow and not the album version! (Thanks to hali.)

Other events to mark the UK release of Tales Of A Librarian include an appearance at Borders on Oxford Street, London, on Wednesday November 19 at 18:30, when Tori Amos will sign copies of the new album. On Monday November 17, Amos will appear on the Channel 4 TV show 'V Graham Norton'.
