Jim Stoddard and Steve tell me that there is a brief news item about Welcome To Sunny Florida at toriamosmusic.com, which is Tori's web site run by Epic Records. (It still has the old Scarlet's Walk theme). It does not reveal anything new, but it is there.

Tori upcoming DVD ''Welcome To Sunny Florida" covered by Billboard.com and LiveDaily.com
A news item posted to Billboard.com on Thursday, April 8, 2004 covers Tori's upcoming DVD/CD project Welcome To Sunny Florida. The article mainly repeats the details we already know. The only thing I read that was extra was the line that said the DVD is "augmented" by a live version of Past The Mission. Tori did perform that song during the first encore of her 2003 West Palm Beach show from which the live material from the DVD came, but it is odd that it is not listed as one of the main live tracks. Perhaps it is being used as background music for the extra features or in some other unusual way. Otherwise, all the info reported by Billboard matches what is on my Welcome To Sunny Florida Page. Thanks to marti pujolar and Peter Starski for being the first of many to alert me to this article.A similar article can also be found at Livedaily.com.

The movie "Mayor Of Sunset Strip" is released nationally this Spring in the U.S.
The film "Mayor Of Sunset Strip" is a documentary about LA scenemaker and DJ Rodney Bingenheimer. It contains some brief Tori footage. (Tori was interviewed for the film, but they do not show any of the interview.) Justin, Jenn, and Jessica Ritchie tell me that the film will be released nationally in the U.S. this Spring 2004. Some say the release date will be March 26, 2004, while others say it will only open in L.A. and New York City on March 26 and will open elsewhere on April 9, 2004. I have no idea how many places will show this film or how easy it will be to find once it is out there. The Tori content is very minor, but I heard the documentary overall is well made. You can read more about "Mayor Of Sunset Strip" here. Read a complete transcript of Tori's December 1, 2003 interview on the Kevin and Bean morning radio show on KROQ in Los Angeles, CA

Terry informed me that on March 16, 2004, musictap.net posted another tidbit about Tori's upcoming DVD/CD:We mentioned earlier that Epic has a Tori Amos DVD in store for May 4. It looks like it may be an EP and might accompany the DVD as a bonus but the details are kind of sketchy at the moment. Also, Matt Chamberlain mentions the DVD on his web site. From this we see that Loren Haynes was involved with the making of the live DVD. (Thanks Brett.) Tori is one of the artists on the new Dutch album 'Heaven 2'
