Stuart Maconie's weekly 'Critical List' radio show on BBC Radio 2 in the U.K. was dedicated to the year's best albums on Saturday, December 27, 2003, and I guess Tales Of A Librarian was considered one of them. Stuart played Snow Cherries From France during the show. Thanks to Barbara for the news.

Jason, who maintains the Toriphoria web site, has posted screen shots of Tori from this video and has also transcribed Tori's comments and placed them on a special Bösendorfer page at Toriphoria. Thanks to everyone who told me about this. If you visit the web site of photographer Loren Haynes at lorenhaynes.com, you will find he has just opened the Loren Haynes Card Store which includes numerous Tori Amos greeting cards you can buy. These cards can be personalized online in many ways, and then sent to you or you can have them sent to people via the U.S. mail. Some of the photos look like they have never been officially published before, and the cards are very nice!

Duncsdiner.com is the web site of Tori's chef, Duncan, and it has recently be updated. Among the new content is a section called Lotions and Potions which reveals the fragrances used for certain songs on Scarlet's Walk. This is now a pay site, although he does offer a 5-day free trial. Updates will still be a little slow for a while, but I am posting news again. I would like to thank all of you who emailed me with your get well wishes and kind words. The January 2004 issue of Q Magazine in the U.K. includes an interview with Tori and some nice photos, including an adorable one of Tori with Tash. (You can only see the back of Tash, not her face.) The questions were submitted by fans as part of Q Magazine's 'Cash For Questions' promotion they announced a few months ago. You can now read this article and see scans of the photos on The Dent. Tori (sort of) nominated twice for the 46th Grammy Awards

Nominations for the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced today (December 4, 2003), and there are two categories in the final nominations list that are Tori-related. The first nomination is for Best Boxed Or Special Limited Edition Package, and that is for Scarlet's Walk (Dave Bett & Sheri Lee, art directors). The second nomination is for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical, which is solely a remixer award. (Tori will not get a Grammy statue for this even if it wins!) That is for Don't Make Me Come To Vegas (Timo On Tori), remixed by Martin Buttrich & Timo Maas. Tori was not nominated for any of the other categories. You can see all the nominations at Grammy.com. The 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards will presented in Los Angeles, CA at the STAPLES Center on Sunday, February 8, 2004 and broadcast on CBS. Tori appeared on the radio show Loveline on Wednesday, December 3, 2003. Loveline is a radio show that originates from KROQ in Los Angeles, CA, but is syndicated on many radio stations across the U.S. It airs live on the West coast, but is often a day behind in other markets. So while it took place on December 3 and was heard live in the West, many markets will actually hear it this evening, Thursday, December 4, 2003. To find a station in your area that broadcasts Loveline, check out this list of stations at adamanddrew.com. Check your local stations for the exact time.

Toriphoria (yessaid.com) has just posted a 30-second video clip of Tori and Michael Stipe recording "It Might Hurt". The clip comes from an episode of the entertainment news TV show, Extra, from May 14, 1995. Screen captures from the video have also been posted. Toriphoria believes this is the first bit of the song that's ever been heard by the public, so go check it out! (And yes, there are still NO plans to release this song that we know of!)

On Tuesday evening, December 2, 2003 beginning at 7:30PM, Tori performed live at Tower Records' Brea store (220 South Brea Boulevard in Brea, CA). This open to the public 30-minute live set was also a special 'Star Lounge' session for Los Angeles/Orange County radio station Star 98.7 FM. Tori's performance was preceeded by a private autograph signing for 60 contest winners. (The signing was BEFORE the performance!) On Monday night, December 1, 2003, Tori was a guest on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on NBC TV in the U.S. Tori performed Winter solo at the piano. She was on at the very end of the program and there was no chance for her to talk with Jay. I really enjoyed her performance!
