"Documentaire" On French Channel MCM
September 23, 1999
    An interview with Tori was shown on a French music channel called MCM on September 23, 1999 on a show called "Documentaire". Toriphile Tracy Streimish has sent me a complete transcript of the interview, which was conducted on August 6, 1999. As Tori was speaking, they would show various footage as music from "to venus and back" played. I am not sure where the footage was from, although it could have been England. Read the interview because it is very good!

Radio stations 101.9 The Mix & Q101 In Chicago (Tori with Mancow)
September 15, 1999
    On Wednesday, September 15, 1999, Tori performed at a secret location in downtown Chicago, IL for the Eric and Kathy show on radio station The Mix 101.9FM. The studio audience won tickets through the station's web site. Tori seemed to be in a good mood and answered the standard questions with humor. She also told some funny stories about seeing cows in Chicago, Dave Matthews and her tour bus, playing at the Myrtle Beach Hilton when she was seventeen, where her Girls come from, America's misconception of fairies, and some fourth grade angst. Toriphile Jennifer Frantom has sent me a transcript of this this appearance, and you can read it on my TV/Radio Archives.

    Earlier that same morning Tori appeared on the Mancow show on Q101 (101.1 FM) in Chicago. At this time I have no further details on that appearance. If anyone else does please email me. Tori was in Chicago that day to perform as part of the 5 1/2 Weeks tour with Alanis. You can find a nice photo of Tori with Mancow in the photos section of mancow.com. You can hear sound clips of Tori performing Concertina, Purple People, and Icicle live at Q101.com, and I think they are from this radio appearance.

    On Friday, September 24, 1999, radio station KROQ 106.7FM in Los Angeles, CA hosted a "Breakfast with Tori Amos/Alanis Morrisette." Tickets to this event were won by people who listened the week before to the Kevin and Bean morning show. The event was not open to the public. It was aired on KROQ that morning. KTLA Morning News In L.A.
September 22, 1999
    Tori made an appearance on the KTLA Morning News (Channel 5 in Los Angeles. CA) on Wednesday morning, September 22, 1999. They showed parts of the 1000 Oceans video and an interview with Tori. Tori also played 1000 Oceans alone at the piano during the program. If anyone has details about the interview, please email me.

Tonight Show With Jay Leno
September 21, 1999
    Tori appeared on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Tuesday, September 21, 1999, which was also the release date of her album "to venus and back." She performed 1000 Oceans with the band.

Good Morning America
September 3, 1999

    During the final half hour of Good Morning America on Friday morning, September 3, 1999, Tori performed live on the program in Central Park in New York, and did a small interview. I noticed a few people in the audience who I recognized! (Hi Lana!) Tori played the following on the air:

    Bliss
    Cornflake Girl
