August 6, 2001 - Issue #2

Issue #2 of the Tori Amos Newsletter from was sent out on Monday, August 6, 2001. You can read the newsletter online here.

Last week they included a photo of Tori as the character for Strange Little Girl. This week they included the photo of Tori as a blond which was labeled The Thinker by the Australian newspaper the Sunday Telegraph. There has been some confusion over which character this photo represents. The newsletter focuses on the song Heart Of Gold, and so many people think that the photo is that character. However, the L.A. Times stated that the song Heart of Gold was represented by twins.

This issue points you to a sound file of Heart Of Gold and stated that Tori would be featured in upcoming issues of Mojo and Q magazines in the U.K., as well as The Independent (U.K. daily). They also told London Toriphiles to keep their schedules flexible during the last week of August. Finally, they promised details on Tori's upcoming appearance on David Letterman and an exclusive NY Times event.

July 30, 2001 - Issue #1

The folks at started sending out special weekly email newsletters to fans starting July 30, 2001. The email newsletters contain exclusive news items about Tori. In fact, they plan to send some things to the people on the mailing lists BEFORE they place it on! The first newsletter said to look for concert ticket pre-ordering information in the coming newsletters as well as special announcements. In the coming weeks they will be introducing a new character that Tori portrays on Strange Little Girls including video interviews of each character and essays by author Neil Gaiman. They told us to be on the lookout for Tori in the U.K. issue of Glamour in October and an upcoming feature on Tori in Alternative Press magazine. You can read the entire newsletter online here.
