Tori was part of the "Rock Style Music+Fashion+Attitude" exhibition at the Barbican Centre in London, U.K. Many thanks to Rouge Forever for first making me aware of this! This exhibition was about fashion and pop music, and showed costumes, clothes and other stage gear of pop artists throughout the generations. It claimed to be the first major exhibition celebrating the influence of rock & pop musicians on style over the last 50 years. Four Tori items were part of the exhibition. They were a jacket, a dress and two pairs of shoes.

Rouge Forever has made a couple of web pages about this exhibition, including one dedicated solely to the Tori items. (The second of the two pages has the Tori content, including photos of the items on display. )

This exhibition ran from October 5, 2000 until January 14, 2001.

Richard Handal has discovered that this exhibition was essentially the same as the Rock Style exhibit that was shown at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York from December 9, 1999 until March 19, 2000, although there was some difference in the items displayed.

Below you can see the front cover of an official leaflet for this exhibition scanned by Danny Weddup.
