Tori was featured briefly on MTV News on the MTV2 network in the U.S. on Friday, August 16, 2002. This was the first time that Tori was seen oin TV talking about her first album for Epic Records, Scarlet's Walk. ToriAmos.com placed a news item on their site saying that Tori would appear on MTV News on MTV on August 16, 2002 at 11:15AM (They did not give a time zone) and again at 4:15PM.) However, sources tell me that Tori was not shown at the later time (4:15PM ET or PT). She was shown the first time, and I have another report that says this news item was shown on MTV itself earlier in the day, but I do not have confirmation of that. I just saw a clip of Tori talking about Scarlet's Walk on MTV2 news. She said that being a mother has changed her perception of life. She's a lot more calm now. Instead of holding her tomahawk infront of her she now hangs it on her back. Now she's not so concerned with "what's coming in" as with what "she's giving out". The vj also mentioned that her album is about a porn star named "Amber Waves" who is traveling across America.

it was about 12:00-1:00 at night and MTV news flashed on and started talking about Tori and they showed part of a recent interview with her. all i can remember is that they said she was more mellow now after being a mother, and that it is a concept album about a girl named Amber Waves w/ a post 9/11 and native indian theme or something like that. they said the album drops on Oct. 29th.
