I earlier reported that when Tori was in Camden for her Lottapianos tour on August 26, 2003, she stopped by radio station WXPN 88.5FM at the University of Pennsylvania to tape for the radio show The World Cafe, which is broadcast on public radio stations all over the U.S. This new Tori episode of The World Cafe will be broadcast on Friday, September 26, 2003 on various public radio stations. This has been confirmed on the World Cafe web site. Check your local listings for times, since they vary by station. You can also find out what stations broadcast the World Cafe in your area and at what time by checking this list of stations located at worldcafe.org. More Details

Tori was interviewed and performed the following six songs on her August 26, 2003 taping for The World Cafe:

Honey
Putting The Damage On
Twinkle
After The Gold Rush
Seaside
Baker Baker

Here is a report on the taping from Hank:

When Tori was in the Philadelphia area for her Camden, NJ show, she recorded a taping of the World Cafe for WXPN. I'm assuming this will only air in the Philadelphia area, but it may be on other radio stations. The taping was attended by about 75 people and was really great! Tori performed six solo songs and was briefly interviewed between songs by the host, who's name I can't remember. Sorry. Tori performed Honey, Putting The Damage On, Twinkle, After The Gold Rush, Seaside, and Baker Baker. I was really excited because this was my first time seeing Tori perform and she performed Baker Baker, one of my favorite songs. All of the songs were excellent but After The Gold Rush, which had the lyrics changed to "Look at Mother Nature on the run in the 2003's" and Honey were especialy great.

Tori talked about the Best Of, why Seaside wasn't on Scarlet's Walk, and talked about teaching Tash about good and evil. Tori stated once again that there would be two new songs on the Best Of (old info, I know) and talked about how she was restoring the songs to the way she originally wanted them to be. She talked about Winter wanting her strings back, which means Winter will hopefully be on the Best Of.

I'm not sure if this has been revealed before, but Tori said that Seaside was removed from SW because it filled a space of violence that was already taken by ICSNY and that ICSNY had to be on the record. At least, that was the genral gist of what Tori said. After Seaside, Tori was asked about how she teaches Tash about good and evil (I can't remember exactly, but that was the idea behind the question) Tori said that fairytales are very useful for that and that she's starting to move Tash into the non Disney stories.

She also shared a small anecdote about Tash saying, "But the Wicked queen becomes good in the end, right?" and Tori replied, "No, honey, the evil queen just had a nice dress but she's still evil" and talked about trying to help Tash realize that some people just won't change from being evil.

The show was amazing. Tori looked great and her answers were funny and informative. Unfortunately, Tori had to leave for her soundcheck, so there was no time for autographs or pictures, which was the only bad thing in an otherwise wonderful mini-concert.
