From Richard G. and Eric: The show tonight at this festival was short by sweet, with lots of strong performances. There were several improvs. Before Northern Lad she sang something with words that mentioned Mark being from the north of England and taking her hand. There was an intense instrumental before or during Spring Haze. Before Sweet The Sting, Tori addressed the girls in the audience, singing something like, "We know how the magic works, come on girls..." Tori thanked the Italians tonight and mentioned how much she loved being there. This will be Eric's last show of the tour and The Dent would like to thank him for his phone calls and insight during the European leg of the tour. Richard will continue on to Istanbul and phone in a report from there. Eric later emailed me the following comments: It might be interesting to indicate for the Naples show that the line-up on the main stage was Tom McRae (at 20:45), then Tori (at 21:30) and finally Nick Cave (at 23:00). While the festival crowd was quite substantial already for Tori, the Arena Flegrea was almost full for Nick Cave's performance. Nick Cave performed with a four-piece band, which included himself (vocals, piano) as well as a drummer, a base player and a guitarist / violinist. |
