From Richard G.:

The venue tonight was one of the most beautiful of the entire tour. Tori debuted Taxi Ride tonight, which was exciting.

During her initial hello, she told the audience that she loves being in Munich and that the weather has been fantastic. Before the covers, she said that one of the covers she was doing because she loved it, and the other, which was Red Rain, was a request.

Tori followed her written set list exactly tonight.

From rico h.:

this was my first tori amos concert ever. it felt very classical given that it took place at the munich philharmonics. and i had no idea it would be just her with the bsendorfer etc. what a pleasant surprise.

i thought it cute when she said "the weather has been fantastic" and that they would be leaving the next day for glastonbury where the weather's not that good, "so think of me sometimes" she said. also, when she started the piano bar she said that the second one is a request, but that the first one *she* picked cause she liked it so much, and anybody who didn't approve she told to "piss off"! haha, how funny.

definite highlights for me were icicle, barons of suburbia, taxi ride, strange and cooling. now that it's over i'm seriously thinking of going to another "original sinsuality" concert.

oh and, what's with all those people who left during the concert to take a leak? can't you wait till it's over? i thought this was so rude and disturbing...

From JH:

A really great performance!

For me the highlight was her Hammond organ playing. Much more on the solemn side than the organ parts on the album. Beekeeper, accompanied with that almost church-organ sound, was breathtaking in its intensity. Blood Roses was totally changed in character with the organ. Very nice - and I'd love to know her drawbars setting. (;->)

And she played Red Rain !!!

And Mother! And Icicle!

I had hoped for Toast, but Cooling was a very worthy ending, too. Her last notes were a cascade of harmony, created by her voice interacting with an echo device. Awesome.

The sound was a little heavy on the bass range (and least where I was sitting). The lightshow was a low key beauty. (And please guys, don't ruin this with the bright displays of your cameras - that was quite disturbing during beekeeper, when the row before me was glowing brighter than the stage!)

From Michael Heiker:

This was unique. But lets start with the venue - the Philharmonie in Munich is for me one of the best venues for Music in Germany - the Sound there is wonderful (although very hard to mix - Im happy I dont have the job of Mark ;-). The last time I saw Tori in this venue was special - she played Boys In The Trees and Black Swan which made this night one to remember for me and many others. But yesterday - this show in Munich felt so good - so warm and was really special for me and my friend Sabrina. But lets explain it from the beginning..

I gave Tori a CD with a "Selection of Songs" for her during the M&G in Rotterdam which had about 13 Songs on it - from Jeff Buckley to Pearl Jam to Regina Spektor - but mostly from Peter Gabriel. So..there was also Red Rain on it..and I asked Tori if she could play one of the songs on this CD and at what shows I would be. When I came home from Rotterdam the next day and checked the setlist of Brssel I couldnt believe it - she played Red Rain - unfortunately this was one of the shows I could/would not attend. This may sound selfish and maybe a bit strange - but my musical heart was broken. Peter Gabriel is such an influence in my life - only Tori and 2-3 others are in the same league for me when it comes to Songs and musical influences that are important for me.

Anyway..life goes on and I asked Tori at the M&Gs in Hamburg and yesterday in Munich if she could play Red Rain again. I hoped for it in Frankfurt - but Tori surprised me with it in Munich..and my friend Sabrina with Mother - which she had personally requested at the M&G in Bonn and was also of great importance for Sabrina.

It didnt matter how many tears I had in my face during and after Tori played Red Rain - I was with one foot in the Philharmonie and with another in a state of mind you could only call Nirvna. All the songs on this evening were wonderful - Silent All These Years and Cooling were besides Mother and Red Rain my favourites. For every single aspect of this show Im sure others (Eric with a c or Christoph V.) can tell you more - but Munich was again very special for me and I cannot express the gratitude I feel for Tori.

If the Elysium feels like this - you can count me in.
