On Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Royal Festival Hall in London, U.K., Tori will be one of several artists taking place in a show called Songs of Innocence - Protest Songs and Lullabies. This show is part of the Patti Smith Meltdown series. The Meltdown is an annual contemporary music festival curated by a different artist every year (The last three were Morrissey, Scratch Perry, and David Bowie). For 2005, it's Patti Smith. Tori will be joined by Patti, Sinead O'Connor, Beth Orton, and Kristin Hersh. You can read more details about this performance at rfh.org.uk and also purchase tickets, which went onsale this morning, May 5, 2005, at 9:00AM. The web site says, "The first of two nights in homage to 18th Century English poet, visionary and artist, William Blake featuring Patti herself along with a host of diverse artists. The event is billed as an evening of protest songs and lullabies and will focus around children." Thanks to Matt, Iris, Tessa and Jonny for emailing me the information. I will add this performance to The Dent's 2005 Tour Page.
