I received this official announcement about Joel, who has been Tori's main security guy for over 12 years:

Joel has accepted a permanent offer with another artist that will be starting on March 23, 2005.  Though he is sad to be leaving Tori after 12 years of working together, this is a career move that could not be passed by.  He will still be at occasional shows with Tori when it does not conflict with his other schedule.

Speaking for myself, I will miss Joel very much. He is a great guy who cares about the fans and always did a wonderful job of protecting Tori. He will be missed, but I am also happy about his exciting new career move. Plus, we may still get to see him at some of the Tori shows!
