In the book Tori Amos: Piece By Piece, Tori talks about the song Garlands, which is a song that you can get on the bonus DVD included with the special edition packaging of The Beekeeper. She said that she was inspired by a book of Marc Chagall lithographs. If you look at the lyrics to Garlands included with the album, certain painting titles are used within the song and are italicized so that "people could go and reference the lithographs visually..." Amy Smith-Van Patten has collected photos of these paintings, which you can now see on her web site. Check it out, and if there are any paintings referred to in the song that she does not have, and you know where to find photos of them online, please contact Amy at amysvp@hotmail.com and let her know!
