Based on the email I am getting, I need to clarify something about the event "An Evening With Tori Amos: Women and Music" which takes place on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at the 92nd St Y in New York City. People who have tickets have been getting a letter that reads:
Due to logistical and technical reasons, Tori Amos will not be performing. The evening will consist of a conversation with music critic Ann Powers about Ms. Amos' extraordinary life and career.
People are getting confused and thinking that this means that Tori will NOT be at the event. This letter simply confirms what the Dent reported a few days ago. Tori
WILL indeed be at the event, and will be talking with Ann Powers and taking part directly in a Q&A session. Tori will not be performing, as in playing the piano, but will be there in person to discuss her career, her new book
Piece By Piece and whatever else comes up.
