From John:

She totally stunned the crowd by performing Seaside, one of the extra b-sides from Scarlet's Walk that have not been released yet! She did it for Maine apparently, as revealed in an improv she performed before Seaside. Amazing! The song dealt with coming of age, according to the lyrics heard during the show. It was reportedly very beautiful.

During Take To The Sky Tori once again sang some lines from Carole King's "I Feel The Earth Move Under My Feet".

There were some changes from the written set list. Tori was supposed to perform Precious Things after God but skipped it. Tori was also supposed to perform Virginia, but did Liquid Diamonds instead.

From Samaida124:

This show was filled with tons of energy! The crowd was very good, no obnoxious yappers. Seaside was absolutely beautiful- I didn't know what it was at first. It's about coming of age, and part of it is about "bombs blasting" and the "fifth of december", and how she wished that this girl had had one more day. I suppose part of it is about losing innocence because of war, maybe? The audience really got into Talula, and there was definitely an energy in the audience that I haven't seen at other shows. Tori spoke to the audience twice- the first time she introduced the band and said how she loved Portland, and that the people there showed her a really good time. Right before she played "Putting the Damage on" she said how she loved Portland, and that the people there showed her a really good time. Right before she played "Putting the Damage on" she said "You're so great". All in all, a great crowd and set list!

From Nicole Austin:

Tori did an excellent job (as always!) of entertaining her fans on Monday. The traditional Tori flair and unique dance moves were present, and she of course added her own little improvs to all the songs. I was much impressed when she actually sang the "background lyrics" to Girl, and of course Seaside shocked everyone (pleasantly). Although she seems to never make it to Maine, everyone who went last night is certainly glad she did!

From Kelly Munroe:

I was totally shocked when the radio announced the Tori had booked a show in Maine. I immediately bought tickets online; I wasn't going to wait for it to possibly sell out. I was thinking, even as I drove to the show, "...this is not happening..." Well, it happened! My cousin Toby and I got to Portland early, to ensure parking and buy merchandise. It seemed like an hour between the opening act, Rhet Miller, and when we finally heard Tori's voice, singing "Wampum Prayer." The scarlet screen went up, and we saw her band. She floated on stage, like the most beautiful butterfly! Of course, I was regretting that I had not snuck in a camera! But, heck, it wouldn't have been worth getting kicked out of the show!

The sound was amazing...Much better than the sound you would have heard if it was at the State Theatre. The only thing that I missed was the closeness that you can get at the State. It isn't such a tight ass format. I was also upset that we got seats on the balcony. I so would have loved to be closer, since I am near-sighted, and could barely make out her face. I almost asked the people sitting next to me, if I could borrow their binoculars! Her outfit was a beautiful flowing gown; it reminded me of the "Letterman" outfit, but much more flattering. As she came on stage, shegot on her knees anddid a salutation(Yoga bow) to the audience. I found this to be one of the unforgettable moments of the concert.

Immediately, I was drawn in to her performance. I was in a trance! I couldn't move! I can't remember what song it was, but there was a sound problem. It was minor enough so that it didn't drag the song down. There was no intermission...Only one between theRhet Millerand Tori. And the treat of the night...2 ENCORES! I was beside myself. I couldn't believe that there were people who got up and left!

In conclusion, this was the closest thing to a Spiritual Experience that I have had in a very, very long time. This may be the biggest spiritual experience I've ever had. I know that in times of stress or just when I need to take a deep breath, I will think of Tori floating across the stage...as if she is barely touching it with her feet. Almost like a ballerina dancing across. If there is a Goddess in human form, it is Tori. In all her Magnificence! I can't begin to put into words what happened to me on the night of March 3, 2003. But, after all, I'm sure you understand!

From Stacey:

From the instant Tori's voice flowed from the microphone until the moment she waved goodbye, the entire auditorium was under an eerie trance. The brilliant combination of "Wampum Prayer" and "a sorta fairytale" sent shivers down my spine. I had an ideal seat; Tori faced me as she played on the piano. Her earrings sparkled luminously; her knee-high boots were sexy as hell. An aroma of pine incense hovered in the air.

The†revised version of "Crucify" was charming; she alternated the pace throughout the song to spice it up.†"Icicle" was utterly breathtaking, as though an angel's voice echoed through the microphone &†an angel's fingertips graced the keyboard.

Tori mentioned that two special guests were in the audience, though they remained silent. She laughed and mentioned that she hoped she was not talking to two empty seats. A touching performance of "Putting The Damage On" was a perfect ending to a perfect evening.

From Stacey:

My husband and I attended this show in Portland and it was
such a treat, we had bought tickets to the UNH show back in January and the next day found out she was coming to Maine. We live in Maine and were a little bummed we didn't know about the show earlier. My husband refused to let her come to Maine without seeing her and on the day of the show†he got tickets. I am so glad we were there!!!!! We had awesome seats. She was facing us and I had never been so close to her in any of the other shows I had been to. It is such a small theater and the sound was fantastic. I was in a trance for the entire show. The next night at UNH was not as good, we had floor seats and the seats are so close together you can barely move. The sound was also not as good as in Portland. Although, at UNH she did do Horses which was wonderful.†I did enjoy both shows and can't wait to see her again. †I'm still waiting to hear Winter.......maybe someday....
