More Details

Many thanks to Lindsay for sending this review to me.

This 20-song collection is a good place to start if you're not familiar with Tori's Kate Bush-meets-Robert Plant-meets-Neil Gaiman world of pop, but won't add much to the die-hard fan's existing collection. Favorites from her back catalog such as "Silent All These Years," Cornflake Girl," and "God" intermingle with new tracks like the celestial "Angels" and the Bo Diddley-style rocker "Sweet Dreams."

The Bonus DVD includes footage of Tori Alone at the piano, working through five songs at a soundcheck. Even without an audience to play to (aside from her daughter and a nanny), the flame-haired singer has dramatic flair.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

For fans of:
Kate Bush--Hounds of Love
Led Zeppelin--Houses of the Holy
Elton John--Madman Across the Water
