From Mikewhy:

I think I enjoyed the North Charleston show a little bit more than the Raleigh show, although they were very similar overall. Tori seemed a little more spirited in Raleigh, but I enjoyed the set list more in North Charleston. Unlike Raleigh, which was an outdoor theater, the venue tonight was a round indoor coliseum.

I was surprised to hear Tear In Your Hand so early in the set list. Tori then said hello and said something like, "Some of you know that we only have a few shows left. It has been amazing being with you guys since November. We're going to miss you." Tori then introduced the band before Cornflake Girl.

I was thrilled to hear Doughnut Song 2 songs later. I think this is one of Tori's most powerful songs, and I always love how she does this song live.

Tori then did Girl followed by Upside Down, which I found to be a really exciting and effective pairing.

Before her first solo song, Cloud On My Tongue, she said hello and then started to talk. Some person shouted "I Love you" and Tori rather blandly said, "I love you too, but let's chat about room service in this town." She then did a really fun improv about room service and trying to order blueberry muffins for Tash when the room service lady kept trying to get her to take the Danish special. Tori's improv included the words, "What time was it... about 9:27... I think that I'll have breakfast...my little girl says it kinda rumbly in my tummy... not a problem...I pick up the phone...3 blueberry muffins please... You don't understand...we have a danish special...I said 'What the fuck is that...Do you think we can get it kind of soon? 3 blueberry muffins, Just three blueberry muffins, that's what I want... But we have a Danish special today..."

Secret time was really special tonight. After a very nice Cloud On My Tongue, Tori did an improv where she kept singing "Carolina" and this led, much to everyone's surprise, to Beulah Land! It sounded really beautiful, and was followed by an equally beautiful Famous Blue Raincoat.

The other little surprise was getting to hear Honey during the first encore. It is so emotional how she performs this on on stage.

There was quote a mix up in the show compared to Tori's written set list. She was supposed to preface Beulah Land with Graveyard, but did the Carolina improv instead. Then she has planned to do God and Past The Mission for the first encore and then Voodoo, Liquid Diamonds and Horses for the second encore. You can see above what she actually decided to do.

It was the wonderful ending to a day that saw us on Folly beach and in Charleston's wonderful Historic District. We are now off to Atlanta!
