I have added 3 new Tori Amos "sightings" to the Dent...

More Details

1) Glassjaw's Daryl Palumbo mentions Tori

In the November 2003 issue of Revolver Magazine there is an interview with Glassjaw's Daryl Palumbo and he mentions Tori Amos. You can read the quote below. Thanks to Heather K. Millis for sending this in:

REVOLVER: Glassjaw have been associated with the screamo scene, but you manage to keep up the intensity without a lot of screaming.

DARYL PALUMBO: There's other ways to be intense. Tori Amos plays some of the heaviest music in the world. She doesn't scream and she doesn't play metal. She raises the intensity through her lyrics, through her sincerity in what she's singing about.

2) Tori Amos versus The Donnas in knot.magazine

Nichole G points out that there is an article at knotmag.com that compares Tori Amos to The Donnas. Interesting reading!

3) Laurie Halse Anderson's young adult novel 'Catalyst'

This comes from Sarah Johnson. In the acknowledgements section in Laurie Halse Anderson's young adult novel Catalyst, Anderson lists Tori as one of the "people and things that served as catalysts for the writing of this book." Tori appears in the "rest of the world" section along with Incubus, Staind, Mozart, and a bunch of other musicians. It's a great book (a follow-up to Halse's book Speak) for anyone, not just young adults.
