Woj was the first to make me aware of the fact that a sorta fairytale made USA Today's Best Ten Singles of 2002 in their December 31, 2002 edition. It made #4 and here is what they say about the single:

4. Tori Amos, A Sorta Fairytale. So flat-out pretty a melody and arrangement that it wouldn't matter if the words were gibberish -- which the part about almost smacking Oliver Stone comes perilously close to.
