MTV Unplugged and Uncensored
Various Dates in January 2002

Tori Amos was one of the acts featured on the MTV show "Unplugged and Uncensored", which aired several times in January 2002 on MTV in the U.S. (Some reports claim to have seen it on MTV2 as well.) You can see below some of the details. Basically Tori was shown twice on the program for a few seconds each time. It was not a hugely important TV appearance, but it did feature some never before seen footage from Tori's 1996 Unplugged performance. I am hoping to have some screen shots added to this page soon. It was a short appearance, but still very interesting!

MTV in the U.S. plans to show this again on Saturday, January 19, 2002 at 3:30PM and on Sunday, January 20, 2002 at 6:00PM.

I wanted to let you know that MTV2 featured a show called Unplugged Uncensored and Tori was part of it. The show concentrated on Unplugged screw ups whether it was an artist forgetting their words, camera crew mess ups, or even the artist not showing up to play. Anyhow, they showed the part where Tori came onstage to play and she did one song and then walked off. Then they showed her walking back on, saying sorry and she explained that she had a moment (I can't remember her exact words), and then started playing again. Then later in the show they showed a [5 second] clip of Tori doing "Honey" which, if I remember correctly, wasn't shown on the original Unplugged show.

about a minute ago on MTV they showed a 2 second clip of Tori onÝMTV Unplugged from 96 singing "Honey" (which I believe was not aired on the original broadcast). They showed her singing, "You're just too used to my honey now" and then it went on to another artist clip.

This was on a program called, "MTV Unplugged and Uncensored."

I just wanted to let you know that Tori Amos was shown twice on the MTV program "UNCENSORED ~ unplugged". They were showing a collection of artists that have performed on Unplugged since 1991. They showed Tori singing about 5 seconds of Honey. It was nice to see her recognized once again on MTV.
