I received this information from Matthew Rankin:

I thought that you may be interested to know that Strange Little Girls made a number of 'best albums of 2001' lists in the UK press, including the Independent, Time Out, What's On, Guardian, Boyz, Sunday Express and Metro charts.

Also, the editor of Q magazine ended the year [2001] with a discussion on the future of men in music and asked in his 'Editor's letter' whether there has been a more avant-garde album this year than 'Strange Little Girls'.
