VH1 Summer Tour Countdown
May 25, 1999
On Tuesday, May 25, 1999 at 7:30PM ET, VH1 in the U.S. aired a show called "Summer Tour Countdown!" There was a short story about the Tori & Alanis 5 1/2 Weeks tour (though they never actually called it that.) It included some brief footage from Tori's 1998 sneak preview club tour, some video clips like Jackie Strength and Crucify and an interview segment where Tori talked about what music means to her. They also played some of the Jackie's Strength dance mix in the background. They also aired some Alanis Morissette clips (The tour dates were shown over a small portion of Alanis' Grammy performance of "Uninvited.") There was a comment that although Alanis shows are "rock shows," Tori's performances are more intimate, and the two should complement each other well. The VJ said don't be surprised if you see them joining each other on stage. [Tori did say in a recent interview with radio station KROQ that she had not talked to Alanis about collaborating on stage.] Other artists featured in the Summer Tour special included the Dave Matthews Band, Blondie, and Jewel. Thanks to Laurel, Jeannette, Stephanie, Amy, and Bryan Cody for bringing this to my attention.

CJSW 90.9 FM Phone Interview
May 25, 1999
I, Mikewhy, was briefly interviewed over the phone by radio station CJSW 90.9 FM, the University of Calgary Student Radio Society, in Calgary, Canada around 5:45PM ET/3:45PM MT on Tuesday, May 25, 1999. I was interviews by a super nice person named Ching Li who asked me some questions about my web site and the latest Tori news. It was really fun and the first time I have ever done anything like that! For more information about this great radio station, you can visit the CJSW Web Site. I was part of a show called "Eine Kleine Lift Musik" that is aired every Tuesday from 2-4pm MT. You can listen to this radio station on the web using RealAudio.
