From Matt Page and Richard Galbraith:
Tori was in top form tonight and the show had lots of energy. Before Cornflake Girl Tori sang I love Paris, a Cole Porter song. (It appears she did at least sing all the lyrics! (See below.) Her cover of Nights In White Satin by the Moody Blues was a surprise. Tori was supposed to do Landslide according to the official written set list, but she did this amazing cover instead. Tori must have had a good day, because she was fantastic tonight. Tonight's Spark was better than the first time she played it in Europe on this tour, and Tori was simply roaring at the end of the show. Sounds like the fans in Paris witnessed an amazing concert!

From from Amy, Matt, Jill, Eric with a C, and Stacy:
Here are the lyrics to "I love Paris" that Tori sang tonight.
I love Paris in the springtime,
I love Paris in the fall,
I love Paris in the winter, when it drizzles,
I love Paris in the summer, when it sizzles.
I love Paris every moment,
Every moment of the year,
I love Paris,
Why, oh why, do I love Paris,
Because my love is near."
Cole Porter, "I Love Paris"

At the end of Spark, while singing ...where my spark is here, here, here... she pointed at the audience.
That was cute.
From melanie freynet:
The Paris show was great.. nice improv about how she loves Paris (hehe)!!! And people were really enthusiastic but not too annoying..
From Vincent:
just to tell you that it wasn't an improv Tori di in the Paris concert as it's said in your 1st review, but a cover from Ella Fitzgerald : 'I love Paris'.
Note From Mikewhy: Ella did cover this song, but it is actually a song with words and music by Cole Porter.
From AniaG.:
What a show this was!!
Tori looked like an angel, all dressed in white with white "barettes" in her hair. Her introduction of the show with WAMPUM PRAYER sent chills down everyone's spine, it was a memorable moment!! She laughed at Matt Chamberlain during an intro, they seemed to have a funny little secret going on! The crowd went wild right before the first encore, everyone rushed to the stage and oyou could see security going "let's stop them.. oh wait... give up, they are too many of them" and just renounce pushing us all back, it was pretty funny. The Tori-effect!! ;) All in all, The show was almost flawless, I wish Tori had spoken more , and that the sound of the Zenith had been better (there was a LOT of distorsions on the basses all through the show and this covered Tori's voice way too much, something was definitely not working properly somewhere). I wasn't at the Meet And Greet. , hopefully someone will post something about this here, I'm very curious!!
From juliet and tessa... the south africans:
well... what can we say?? yesterday definitely ranks among the best in our lives... not only did we get to see tori amos in concert for the first time, but we got to meet her too!
meet and greet -
we arrived at the venue at about 1 to find other tori fans waiting for the meet and greet. it was absolutely freezing - far colder than our south african blood is used to. It started raining and half snowing at one point which was not fun. We were eventually let into a side 'room' in the venue and waited in there for about an hour or more - was too excited to remember... when tori eventually came to meet us she was brilliant... so patient and sweet as if she had all the time in the world for her fans. thanks so much to eric with a c for helping us to get near the baricade - without his help we would not have met her. when she got to us we told her how far we had come to see her and she seemed touched. we had a photo with her and she signed our air tickets!
The concert was all we could have hoped for and more - we had great seats and the sound was excellent from where we were sitting... although we have heard her albums a million times, we were never the less stunned at the way she plays the piano, and how powerful and expressive her voice is... the whole show was full of energy and emotion and some highlights included honey, cornflake girl, precious things, lust, cooling, winter and talula...she also did an amazing version of crucify. she ended the show with a very powerful and moving version of spark.
We hope this is the first of many tori concerts we get to see. We'd also just like to say thanks to all the toriphiles we met last night... they were so excited for us and made the whole experience that much more memorable... it was comforting to meet others who are as obsessed and crazy about tori as we are!!!
thanks to everyone and especially to tori...
From Kristina:
Yesterday afternoon, Paris was magical in the late sunlight (the Seine responded by prissing for all the pedestrians who would stop to stare at the river all glammed up and glimmering.) Seeing Tori Amos in concert later that night made it even more surreal... she looked ethereal; her white, goddess sleeves waved as she played and gestured, and her performance was phenomenal, completely captivating the audience during her solo (Winter had us in her pocket.) Present in the backdrop, in the song lyrics, was the desert. Audible in her voice was the emotion, a feint reckoning-- begging listen-- the songs will purify.
