From shaman:
Howie Day sure had a good time at the Queen Elizabeth, not that Seattle had a cold reception but it seemed that the Vancouver audience was paying more attention. Most of the seats were full too unlike with Seattle where the place was over half empty when he came on and even by the time he was done. I had a decent seat for this show and I found the audience to be moire attentive than in the US as well which I probably why she did songs like Sister Janet which would not go over well with the rowdy Key Arena audience the next day. By then I'm bias of over Sister Janet since I got my 'nym from it. She then followed up with a nice rendition of Marianne and Your Cloud. Of course, getting Hotel, Space Dog, Precious Thing, Waitress, and even Take To The Sky made for quite a bit of drama. I was hoping Carbon would show up but it waited another day. Still, 3 Neil songs isn't bad. Perhaps being next to the Sandman hotel had some karmatic influence. Oh yeah, she did her new version of Crucify for a LONG time. It seems that this how she's now doing it but I think this was even longer than the new version usually is. It was an Epic. <snicker>
