September 14, 1998 - I just wanted to let you know that they came and sung happy birthday after Smells Like Teen Spirit.

It was after they sang her Happy Birthday that she fittingly ended her show with Pretty Good Year.

Just that that you might like to know.

August 28, 1998 - Saturday's show was a phenomenal experience! Tori's voice was in top form and the show was a magical journey. The audience was much more involved in the show than the previous night. We were on our feet the entire time. I was dancing the whole night which was a first at a Tori show! I had a blast!! The whole show flowed and the performances were incredible :0)

Others have covered the set list, but here are a few added items of interest that no one has mentioned yet.

Before Siren, Tori did an intro "Mama's gonna make me strong, strong enough to carry on" repeating it as she encouraged the crowd to clap along. It was like being part of a gospel choir for a few minutes until she launched into Siren.

Kenny ended up dangling by his feet from one of the mirror balls on Saturday night. Cartman was also on stage by the drums. On Saturday night, Tigger was on one of Tori's monitors.

I did get to hear the sound check for this show which included: Talula, Little Earthquakes, Cruel, Spark, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Pretty Good Year, Mr. Zebra and Mother.

Earlier in the day at the meet and greet, Tori signed my LE booklet. I would like to thank the young guy in the purple shirt who was kind enough to pass it to the front so that Tori could sign it for me. I was way in the back and am really short so could see nothing!

Does anyone know when Tori will be back in South Florida? I'm already having withdrawl symptoms.

August 28, 1998 - Hi, I'm danica's friend who got the sunrise set list to her to get to you at 1:30 or so the night of the show....

As for smells like teen spirit, rest assured it was a solo, the band did begin to filter out and set up for Pretty Good Year during the song, but it was all tori and her piano.

From the second she started playing it was like she wanted to make the show special for all of us, as well as herself, because, as she put it, we give so much back, we really do.

before the show started we saw a woman from the crew wearing a shirt that said "who's the lucky bitch with the birthday august 22 sunrise plugged 98" it was so cool! i'd love to get that shirt. [Note From Mikewhy: Tori herself had a tshirt that read, "I'm the lucky bitch with the birthday."]

tori spoke briefly, saying how much she appreciated her fans because we gave so much, and how grateful she was for her crew and band, that they gave so much to her. she also ran up a few times giving people water bottles to pass around, she gave my friend two of them and said, "make sure this water gets down to all these kids" she was so cute, she also danced a few times, running to the front and hugging people, she seemed so happy and free. my sister and my friend took some pictures right in front so hopefully they turned out good if anyone wants to trade pix, i also got some from both meet and greets.

August 25, 1998 - Whereas in the last show we had some minor problems with the sound, tonight's show was flawless! Tori opened with her amazing Precious Things, sending everyone to their feet, where they would stay for the rest of the show. Next came Spark and then God! I was so suprised that she played God! Little did I know what was in store for all of us. Cruel was next, and I'm glad cause I wanted to hear it live, and then Little Earthquakes. My goddess! It is such an amazing song performed live with the band! After, Tori did a little intro, with what sounded to be some sort of hymn, and then launched into Siren (yet another treat for me!).

The band left at this point, and Tori said something like, "Isn't it funny how some songs just decide to come out?" and then sang Mr. Zebra. The surprise of the night, though, was when she started playing the familiar chords to the intro of Flying Dutchman and everyone went up in shouts and claps! Yet another very welcomed suprise; Tori was full of them tonight. Mother was next, and it was beautiful to listen to this song live and with the passion and love she put into it.

The band came back and they did Northern Lad and Caught a Lite Sneeze. A very throaty rendition of Liquid Diamonds followed, which only made it all that much sexier. And then came the staple of this Plugged 98 tour, The Waitress.

First encore was great, cause no one could figure out what she was gonna play until the last moment, when you could see the realization of the song seconds before she dove into Talula, a better version with the bad than any other I've heard before. Then the crew came from backstage with a little cake and we all sang Happy Birthday to Tori! She actually blushed! For that she rewarded us with Raspberry Swirl, and let me say this song is amazing live! It's charged to the max, very powerful, it'll get your blood pumping 100 miles a second!

The second encore was even more of a surprise! She came out alone, first of all, which had everyone wondering, and went to the piano. She played Smells Like Teen Spirit beautifully. Then the band came out and they played probably the most unexpected song, Pretty Good Year; it fits when you consider it is her birthday.

All in all, it was the one of the greatests shows I've seen in my life, and definitely one of the best Tori shows ever, which was made all the more special because it was her birthday and she chose to spend it with us.

August 25, 1998 - HI ALL!

Well, I finally got to meet her (sort of) I attended the shows on Friday and sat night. They were both trully amazing and as Tori walked off the stage sat night, i was crying and silently praying that she wasnt really leaving, that it wasn't really over.

Sat afternoon we got to the meet and greet "waiting area" around 1. They gave out numbers as you arrived. Now I don't know for sure, but I've heard on the list and through the grapevine that people are usually REALLY cool about helping people like me, who are on their 6th concert without having had the chance to meet her. Granted, people who get their at 7 in the morning deserve to be up front but the spirit at sunrise was much more everyone for themselves than I expected.

No matter, though. We were about the third row back at meet and greet and I did get an autograph and some pictures, which i would have waited ten times as long for, Maegan even spoke to Tori, Tori also sang some lyrics that Dor asked her about for a small group of us (the beginning lyrics to bachlorette) i want to thank Dor for snapping those pics for me.

Dor--If your out there, let me know and I'll send you copies if they're good. I hope your sunburn wasn't too bad.

Although maegan was inches from passing out from the heat and claustrophobia, it was a moment we will never forget!!!

The crew came out during the second oncore with balloons and everyone sang her happy birthday (we also sang it at meet and greet).
