UPDATE: Since I first posted this, Jaymes has emailed me and threatened me with a lawsuit. I have so much evidence of his wrong-doing that I do not take his threat seriously. But just in case, I would like to hear from ANYONE who has been ripped off by Jaymes over the years. Please email me at mikewhy@iglou.com and detail for me in what way you were cheated. I will add your experience to my archive to use in case he is crazy enough to take ME to court for simply telling the truth and warning people. Thank you.

I hate to do something like this, but I feel it is necessary to warn all Toriphiles and anyone who buys stuff over the net about a person named Jaymes Warnock, who has over the years cheated at least dozens of people with his "sales" over the Internet. I realize there are always new people appearing online, and some of them may want to buy Tori stuff. Most people who sell Tori stuff online are trustworthy, but this guy has a history of bad deals or incomplete deals. I first found out about him when my good friend Stacey (who sadly passed away in October 1998) send Jaymes $50 for some Tori stuff that was never delivered back in 1997.

Not only does Jaymes have a history of ripping people off, he also has been known to slander good friends of mine on his web site. He is to be avoided at all costs, and should never be trusted with Tori trades or sales. I normally would never post anything like this on the Dent, because I always like to give people the benefit of a doubt and the Dent is not a place to slander anyone. But the past history of Jaymes is so extensive, well-documented, and filled with bad deeds that I feel I must warn anyone who may consider doing business with him. Please don't!

Below I have included parts of a posting about Jaymes that was sent to the ToriNews mailing list. This posting will give you more details and ways to recognize him online.

You will read below that Jaymes sometimes calls himself "James, Jim, Jimmy, Jaymesy, Bradley, and Brad." This does NOT mean that every Tori person online with the name Jim or Brad is bad. For example, there is a very good person named Brad Walsh who recently ran a fanzine name Devoted Satellite. This is NOT Jaymes Warnock! I also know many Jims who are good people. So don't jump to conclusions based on first name alone!

Subject: Warning to eBay buyers: Jaymes Warnock

It's been brought to my attention that one of the boils on the ass of Tori Fandom is back. His name is Jaymes Warnock.

Jaymes is a little bastard who should be removed from the face of this planet. He has ripped off dozens of online Toriphiles, not to mention online fans of other female artists. .... He's "sold" countless rare items that either never existed or do exist but he didn't have a copy of. He's even tried to tell the guy who runs the Tori Bootleg Discography that he found a bootleg that was half Tori and half "this guy named Jaymes Warnock". There is a mail fraud suit opened against him.

Jaymes usually goes by some variation of his full name, Jaymes Bradley Warnock. I've seen him call himself James, Jim, Jimmy, Jaymesy, Bradley, and Brad. For the current PT promo auction, he appears to be using his brother's name, David.

Jaymes has the following currently known email addresses:
davidhwarnock@aol.com
kalleali@aol.com
Yicktar@aol.com

You can see his website ... which verifies that the second email address is him... [Mikewhy: I did not link to his web site, because it is filled with lies and negative words about some good friends of mine. If you happen to stumble on to this web site, do NOT believe anything you read there.]

...

He's currently [Early July 2000] listing a PT promo on eBay, and says that he'll throw in a "bonus" signed Voodoo single with a picture of Tori autographing that very single. He has "sold" the PT promo to unsuspecting buyers in the past, but has never actually sent it out to them. It's interesting to note that the current high bidder on the PT promo is yet another one of his email addresses.

Bottom line: NEVER EVER buy anything from Jaymes. Don't exchange email with him. Don't contact him in any way. If you see him coming down the road, run away as fast as your little feet will take you....

Please feel free to forward this notice onto any other Tori forum that you think can benefit from it. We have got to protect ourselves from people like Jaymes. He's been doing this for at least 5 years now. He disappears, and then comes back with the same shit, hoping that people will forget and that there are enough new folks around that he can take them for a ride.
