Tori taped for the Last Call With Carson Daly show on October 30, 2002. The show was broadcast on November 6, 2002. Tori performed a sorta fairytale in a more energetic and animated manner than at the Letterman taping the day before. Tori also did brief snippets of some of the songs she used to do in the bars long ago, which was entertaining!

Richard Handal, who was at the taping, said Tori also performed a lullubye (Stay Awake from Mary Poppins) after the show was technically over. This was broadcast later on Friday night, December 13, 2002. You can see photos from that below, as well as photos from the regular appearance.

Look below for screen shots that the Dent made and for commentary from Toriphiles who were at the taping.

Commentary from Toriphiles who were at the taping

From Danielle Cipriano

stupid nbc is stupid. they changed the taping time and didn't tell a lot of people so a lot of people missed it. dumbass nbc.

anyways, she did asf with matt & jon, the single skip the good verse version.

cute outfit. no stevie nicks! jeans (marco, i had the BEST view of her butt during the commercial break!!!), cute white top with pink stripes, hangie strings at the wrist, open shirt with purple top underneath. extensions (yuk) but minor waves. slight bang but good hair. NOT like letterman thank god!

she and carson chatted for a few minutes. he asked her about playing the bars in dc. she did a little feelings/new york new york medly. cute but eye roll.

then she left but came back to do a lullaby that they show on friday night. this was so cute & i cried (i'm a dork)

matt & jon came back and the 3 talked a bit and it looked like they were singing something. perhaps the song to be played. she went back to the piano and started reading a paper in the Bosendorfer. then she said "ok". carson was not there for this it was just the stage guy telling her & us what to do.

then some guy came up and took her paper away! it would have been seen from the camera they had in the rafters above the piano. poor tori cried and asked why she couldn't have it.

some guy yelled, "they took a picture of your cat." to which she said no, it's my hello kitty stationary tash & i write notes on. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! awww! so they gave it back to her.

she started with a sweet little improv about how she sings this to her little one sometimes and now i'm going to sing it for you.

then she sang the song that goes like don't go to sleep, don't lay down your head. something liek that. she only did a few seconds and screwed up! so she stopped and did it all over again form teh begiinign with a different improv though. it was so cute and i cried.

oh! she changed for this and had teh jeans on, same style top but black with redish stripes. (same as regis & kelly)

other interesting things, someone yelled something and tori said " I haven't see her for 24 hours" i'm assuming the piano?

from where i was sitting on the end, i could see where she came out & backstage. i saw the doingingty doing thing (HA!) and then jon & matt came out first & tori was back by herself, dancing & singing to amber waves that they were playing! (they had a dj who was playing nothing but tori in the breaks) then she was pacing & bopping around and dancing. it was so cute! i don't know if she was nervous, excited or just happy. or all 3!

From Sharon (aka Tickle My Tori)

Carson Daly rocked! On the tape they were recording on it said "Last Call w/ Carson-tape date 10/30 air date 11/6" so, okay, now we know it's 11/6, but I don't trust that. Tori came out in a different outfit than she wore on Regis & Kelly, and she played the FULL version of "a Sorta Fairytale" and then a few breaks, an awesome interview! Carson asked her what people would request from her at the piano bars way back when and she sang a few lines of some old songs...very funny! Then they ended the show. Afterwards, the director/Camara Guy told us every friday night they end the show with a BedTime Story. So Tori came out, (with a different shirt! The one from Regis & Kelly) and she was to sing a lullabye. She couldn't until she had her "Hello Kitty" notepad that she jotted the lyrics on (she showed it to us). It was special paper for her and Tash! Anyway, she sang a song from Mary Poppins. it was about staying awake, don't close your eyes...along those lines...short & sweet. it took 2 takes because she started laughing! It was bad ass. So I figure that Tori will be on Carson 11/5 or 11/6...we'll have to watch both. But she'll also be doing this "bedtime Story" on Friday. So we need to watch out for that.
