All About The Broadcast Of The RAINN Concert On Album Network Radio Stations

There were no Album Network radio stations in my home town of Louisville KY that were carrying the RAINN concert. But thanks to the miracle of the internet and Realaudio software, I was able to listen to the broadcast of the concert. It lasted slightly over an hour and was cool because it included songs that were not shown during the Lifetime TV special. I would like to thank Web 93.5 FM in Champaign IL for broadcasting this special over the Net at 7:00PM Central Time on February 9, 1997!

Here are the songs they played on the radio special:

• Horses (They included Son Of A Preacher Man and the musical intro to Beauty Queen, but then skipped Beauty Queen!)
• Leather
• Cornflake Girl
• Little Earthquakes
• Winter
• Talula
• Silent All These Years
• Muhammed My Friend (With Maynard)
• Pretty Good Year

I only have a few comments to make. You can read detailed reviews of the concert in my concert reviews section.

• The show included some PSAs for RAINN from celebrities. These included Bjork (same as on Lifetime), and some dude from 90210.
• The show included spots where Tori talked about RAINN and the incident with the young girl that happened during the Under The Pink tour. This was identical to what was on Lifetime.
• There seemed to be an incessant amount of screaming in the audience in the middle the songs. I understand the excitement of seeing Tori, but hopefully in the future many of these fans will become respectful and mature enough to actually LISTEN to the concert.
• They included some of Tori's onstage comments before Leather, Cornflake Girl, and Muhammed My Friend. Check out my quotes page for ALL the quotes from this concert.
